The current end-of-year (EOY) natural gas storage forecast is in the middle of the five-year range.
NOAA recently updated its 2017 Atlantic Hurricane Season Outlook to reflect a 60 percent chance for an above-normal season and possibly extremely active. With about four percent of U.S. natural gas production occurring in the Gulf of Mexico and lower storage projections, major hurricanes in the region can still have a potential price impact.
Colder temperatures and increased natural gas demand could potentially lead to higher natural gas prices in the coming months.
