Over the past week, both natural gas and electricity prices have been trending upward, but still remain near all-time lows. 

Natural Gas Supply & Demand 

Currently, U.S. natural gas supplies heavily outweigh demand, thanks to record production and storage. However, the supply-demand balance may shift in 2017 as LNG exports, U.S. power sector demand, and industrial sector demand potentially increase.
