Small Businesses: Capitalize on the Madness of March to Promote Your Products and Services

read | Share:

There’s so much happening this month, so be sure to capitalize on your creativity to promote your products and services throughout March.

Here are four tips to attract attention from current and potential customers:

1. Go green - To help businesses “go green” and become more sustainable throughout the year, we offer some tips via our latest infographic.

2. Be healthy - March is National Nutrition Month. This is an excellent opportunity for restaurants, fitness clubs, and other health-conscious small businesses to provide customers or clients with nutrition tips and healthy recipes via blogs and social media sites such as Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. You can use the hashtag designated for National Nutrition Month to enhance your online promotions: #NNM.

3. Get mad – Put your own spin on college basketball brackets. Restaurants can offer “dueling” meals to get customers in the tournament spirit. Or offer new dishes that go head-to-head until one new, permanent menu option is determined; customers can vote all month long, which may entice them to keep coming back to your restaurant. Consider offering a discount coupon or small prize for those customers that wear a basketball jersey at some point during the tournament.

4. Get cute - March 23 is National Puppy Day. This is an opportunity for pet stores, pet groomers, veterinarian offices, and other pet-friendly establishments to run social media campaigns to promote their business and attract new customers. Launch contests requesting proud parents to submit photos of their adorable pets using a designated hashtag for a chance to win a free goodie or coupon.
