Xpress Natural Gas and Direct Energy Business Break Ground on Compressed Natural Gas Terminal

read | Share:

Last fall, Direct Energy Business was pleased to announce that it entered an agreement with Xpress Natural Gas to deliver compressed natural gas (CNG) to its off-pipeline industrial and commercial businesses and institutions in the State of New York. As part of that agreement, construction on the CNG production facility and distribution terminal is underway in Manheim, New York and is anticipated to be fully operational by spring 2015.

Because many off-pipeline businesses in the State of New York rely on expensive heating fuels, the CNG terminal will allow us to offer a competitive energy alternative to help our business customers lower their energy costs.

When operational, the CNG terminal will have up to eight full-time employees, and will result in the creation of nearly 100 related jobs in the area.
