Direct Energy Inks $375 Million Electric Contract via PowerOptions Aggregation

read | Share:

I am excited to announce Direct Energy’s latest contract with PowerOptions, which will supply electricity to more than 500 of Massachusetts’ nonprofits and government institutions for four years. We at Direct Energy Business were engaged in a robust, months-long competitive bidding process and I think us winning this deal is a testament to the company further showcasing our ability to be a total energy management provider.

Unlike other aggregations, the PowerOptions is an opt-in regime that provides customer-specific pricing and allows members to pick the length of contract that best meets their needs. In other words, it’s very flexible.

Who is PowerOptions? They are the largest energy buying consortium in Massachusetts and serve more than 500 nonprofit organizations and government entities. The consortium provides its members budget certainty, which we all know is very important.
